Another Driftwood Spars wedding in St Agnes, this time with Blaine and Heather.
Both from outside of Cornwall, they had travelled down to one of their favourite holiday spots to be married and I believe Heathers late Grandfather had connections to St Agnes.
The weather was beautiful for mid September and they had the company of a lot of family and friends who had also made the trip to Cornwall for their wedding day.
I arrived for the bridal preperations and was able to capture both the brides preps and the grooms preps as they were booked into both a guest house/shalet belonging to the Driftwood Spars as well as into one of the bright and airy rooms inside the Driftwood Spars.
Due to the lovely weather, Heather was able to get her hair and makeup done outside in the guest house gardens and then moved inside for the final preperations, getting into her dress etc.
We took advantage of the backlight coming through the trees behind them and used the grdens to take some lovely pictures of her bridesmaids and some very quick pictures of Heather as time was running tight and the registrars were waiting for her to get to the ceremony in the Driftwood Spars opposite.
Previous to the brides pictures, I had popped over to see Blaine and get some pictures of him and his best men getting ready. They were also keen to get some pictures walking up from the beach which is at the bottom of the hill only a minutes walk away.
The ceremony was very relaxed with a few fluffed lines but plenty of smiles and laughs. Heather and Blaine then took a walk up to the gardens outside which overlook the beach and sea to be met by their guests and a flurry of confetti.
Later in the day both Blaine and Heather had requested some of their portrait session be dedicated to them with their dogs. Both having a great deal of affection for their dogs, they couldn’t leave them out of such a special day as their wedding and on choosing a wedding photographer, they had seen some of my pictures from a previous Driftwood Spars wedding wher the couple had a similar request for their dog to be a part of the pictures.
We headed down to the beach but unbeknown to all of us, the high tide covered all of the beach and the water was lapping around the bottom of the slipway. Not being deterred, we took pictures here with a beautiful sunset as well as some pictures higher up on a viewing point overlooking the beach and sea. We finished off by heading back up to the raised gardens of the Driftwood Spars to take some slightly more relaxed pictures of Blaine and Heather without their dogs.
After the portraits, it was straight back inside for the cake cut and their first dance where the party really got started with their guests having a great time on the dancefloor.
Another lovely St Agnes Driftwood Spars wedding and a lovely and special day spent with 2 very lovely people Blaine and Heather as well as their lovely families and friends.
