Here is the wedding photography of Kieron and Emily’s wedding at The Atlantic Hotel in Newquay.
Married in May, at St. Piran Church on the way to Newquay. Preperations of the bridal party took place at the stunning Atlantic Hotel in Newquay where the reception was later to be held.
Kieron had recently passed out in the rifles regement and been allowed leave to get married and enjoy a short honeymoon before having to return to barracks. This made the day so much more special for them having to make the most of this short amount of time together.
The wedding was a mixture of Kilts and Army Uniform with Emily in a beautiful dress complementing both.
The preperations were calm with the stunning views over Fistral beach and far out to sea from their honeymoon sweet. After Emily had got her bridesmaids to help with getting in to the dress and some photos were taken, I headed off in time to reach St. Piran Church to get pictures of the Groom and his men before the ceremony.
The church inside had beautiful tall ceilings with wooden beams although due to some cloud at this time and through the ceremony, the church was quite dark. The wide aperature lenses and professional cameras used managed this very well despite being pushed close to their limits.
Emily arrived on time and the ceremony went smoothly. Readings were made, no rings were lost and no lines were fluffed by the bride or groom. I learned during the ceremony and through the rest of the day that Kieron despite being quite a big lad who was no stranger to the gym, was also very emotional, wearing his heart on his sleeve and showing very clearly how much he loved Emily, shedding the odd tear or three.
Back at the Atlantic Hotel, the sun had come out and we were able to get some great family formal shots looking out to sea lit by my powerful profoto portable lights to overpower the strong sun to help alleviate strong dark shadows over the face. More portraits of the bride and groom were taken inside the hotel making use of the beautiful ambient light with some subtle flash lighting.
